The Department of Engineering Technology at SETU Waterford is holding a ‘Try Engineering Technology’ day for senior cycle secondary and further education schools.

Students will participate in hands on practical labs encompassing all five core engineering areas; Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. There is currently a huge demand for graduates from these programmes in leading technical positions in Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, Manufacturing, Energy, Materials and other high value industry sectors. Our staff and some students will be available to offer advice regarding our programmes and what college life is like at SETU Waterford.

This event is primarily aimed at 5th and 6th Year Leaving Certificate students. TY and FE students are also welcome, subject to the availability of places.

The cost of the event is €20 which will cover all materials for the day as well as a take home engineering ‘goodie’ bag. Participants will receive a lunch voucher that can be used in the on-campus food hall at the Cork Road campus. Teachers and career guidance counselors are also very welcome to attend. Booking early is advised as places are limited.
